This Spanish-Revival mansion was built for George and Elizabeth Scholze, prominent Chattanooga industrialists who spared no expense in commissioning custom architectural stonework, ironwork, and tile for the residence. This grand surround is an exceptional example of high-style 1930s craftsmanship, blending Baroque, Spanish Revival, and Churrigueresque influences.
